Calculating Horsepower:

Several formulas are listed below to help you determine the proper horsepower for the conveyors in your application. Simply click on the link of the TYPE of conveyor used. When directed to the appropriate formula, simply plug in all associated variables. You must determine the total amount of LIVE LOAD to convey. Unless the exact maximum number of boxes, packages, etc., to be conveyed can be determined, it is wise to calculate the conveyor for fully loaded condition to ensure your ROACH conveyor will be adequately designed to meet the needs of your application.
